Principal UX Designer

Ll Oefentherapie's Healthcare division is pioneering the use of cutting-edge technology to transform the healthcare industry. We aim to create a state-of-the-art user experience that sets our software apart from the competition.

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Principal UX designer with expertise in design systems and a passion for leading the evolution of components, patterns, and guidelines for Oracle's Redwood Design System. This Designer will play a key role in shaping user-centered experiences that have a profound impact on the healthcare industry.

Our team is focused on reimagining healthcare applications to improve the user experience and ensure safe and effective use across roles and responsibilities.

As a Lead Systems Designer within our team, you will identify and solve complex healthcare problems by collaborating closely with clinicians, developers, product management, and other UX associates. You will work to integrate automated and more intelligent processes through smarter and more responsive technologies, with AI and predictive analytics to help users access reliable information within the right context.

Create a new vision for the future of healthcare requires a powerful and flexible experience that works across many apps, device types (mobile, desktop, IoT, large displays), and adjusts naturally and fluidly through different contexts. Our team isn't just making it functional; we're making it beautiful.

In this role, you will work alongside designers, product managers, and technologists to design solutions that organizations across the world use for their healthcare systems and operations. Your work will have direct impact on both the user experience and the industry as we redefine this space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product managers to drive the roadmap for new components.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to understand user needs, problems, and goals across diverse use cases.
  • Partner with researchers and data scientists to gain insight to drive and improve designs.
  • Work with other component designers to ensure cohesion and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Articulate guiding principles to ground and inspire ideation, prototyping, and exploration of various design solutions.
  • Design components with ingenious microinteractions, integrating with Oracle's growing Redwood Design System, prioritizing accessibility, and responding across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Create interaction specifications using language, diagrams, and prototypes to describe component usage, anatomy, behavior, and configuration with clarity and detail.
  • Develop usage guidelines and training materials to help others learn and use the design system.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams from design to hand off, ensuring components are implemented to specification.
  • Contribute to design specifications and help evolve our design systems.
  • Mentor junior designers on the team.

Estimated Salary:$160,000 - $200,000 per year based on location and experience.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering products. As a full-stack user experience designer, you should have experience creating design systems, working with interaction design, visual design, aesthetics, typography, motion, 3D, human factors, and more.

You should thrive on working well with others, collaborate with designers, user researchers, engineers, product managers, executives, and inspire them to do their best. You should be able to articulate guiding principles, contribute to design specifications, and help evolve our design systems.

You must be a fantastic storyteller who knows that our products tell customers a story through the user experience. You should love rules and know when to break them, think systemically, and be inspired by helping users solve their problems.
