About the Role

As a Production Manager at Flex, you will play a key role in guiding and coordinating activities of employees engaged in the manufacturing department. Your primary focus will be on attaining production goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and help with test procedures.
  • Explore technology trends and market demand to plan projects.
  • Contribute with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Forecast operating costs of the department and direct the preparation of budget requests.
  • Partner with the team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
  • Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.
  • Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Accountable for controlling manufacturing operations and ensuring that production quality and cost targets are met.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Operations previous experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex functional/technical areas or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understanding the strategic impact of the function across sites.
  • Advanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
