Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze operational forecasts and set productivity targets for sorting operations, guiding a team to meet all performance objectives.
  • Promote safety initiatives to ensure a secure working environment for all team members and delivery service partners.
  • Proactively implement process enhancement strategies and Lean methodologies.

Leadership Duties:

  • Play a vital role in the Amazon Logistics Team, overseeing daily operations at the delivery station, with a focus on fulfilling Amazon orders directly to customers.
  • Manage a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers, conducting meetings, training sessions, assigning tasks, and coordinating with DSPs and management.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, provide thorough training for staff, and address their needs to allow them to focus on their responsibilities.

Additionally, a significant aspect of this position involves driving rapid change, as innovation is crucial to Amazon's global success.

Support in Daily Operations:

  • Manage shipments weighing up to 25 kgs through receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving processes.
  • Direct shipments within the AMZL coverage area and delegate tasks to process assistants.

Given the fast-paced nature of Amazon's operations, the ability to swiftly adapt to changes and growth based on operational needs is vital.

Monitor and oversee sorting operations and driver dispatch, endure approximately 5 miles of daily walking and/or standing, and be comfortable working in environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, and non-air-conditioned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience with Amazon.
  • At least 3 years of general experience and 1+ year managing other managers.
  • Intermediate-Advanced (B2+) English proficiency is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Previous experience with last-mile delivery companies or processes.
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in Project Management is a plus.
