Overview


At Nortal, we are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our North American leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development, with a focus on all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, development of internal control policies and procedures, and communication with external legal counsel as required.


Responsibilities



  • Financial Management: Oversee treasury, finance, accounting, and compliance functions with robust internal controls to protect corporate assets.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany accounting.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Participate in budget and financial forecast preparation.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor transactions and review internal reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Validate financial accuracy and prepare timely statements.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor finance and accounting staff, ensuring timely book closures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate reporting and manage annual filings.
  • Risk Analysis: Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and document accounting policies.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with executives, maintain relationships with banks, communicate with external legal counsel as required, participate in 401(k) retirement plan fiduciary oversight, and collaborate with HR regarding all aspects of payroll and payroll/HR system.

Qualifications


We are seeking a candidate with outstanding business acumen and critical thinking, able to consolidate, analyze, and communicate financial reports to executive leadership. A collaborative team leader with a strong drive to create a positive and inspiring work environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent, with a strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, and a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
