About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated Trade Compliance and Risk Specialist to join our team in Mexico City. As a member of our Customs department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national and international trade regulations.



Job Description


This is a full-time position responsible for supporting activities related to customs and foreign trade, including:



  • Submission of procedures and requests for authorizations/letters under oath/etc. related to customs and foreign trade;
  • Verification of Customs' SharePoint updates;
  • Support for recordkeeping verification and completeness;
  • Follow-up on tracker of incidencies with customs brokers and the customs team;
  • Elaboration of letters of entrustment (cartas encomienda) for customs brokers at the end of the year, submission, and follow-up;
  • Assistance in managing Siemens Energy's certifications and foreign trade programs;
  • Elaboration of templates for the monthly scorecard;
  • Elaboration and follow-up of corrective actions to customs brokers.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Commerce, Law, or Economy;
  • Professional experience in foreign trade & Customs, or early talent candidates with potential;
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion;
  • English at a professional working level;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with supervision and follow instructions;
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge in Trade Compliance and Risk;
  • Soft Skills: Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence.
