Key Responsibilities- Lead the EC product development process, ensuring on-time completion of internal design reviews
- Prepare Validation Plans, DFMEAs, and review material for DFMs
- Collaborate with Project Management to develop and manage timing for all mechanical components and ensure all deliverables are met on time
- Coordinate with other functional engineering areas to ensure requirements are met for all mechanical components and assembly
- Initiate cost estimates, design requests, RFQs, and all other documentation used in the DEC design process on-time and free of errors
- Create excellent technical presentations and lead presentations at the customer
- Attend customer design reviews, support Design Validation with part and assembly procurement, and support any initial vehicle/bench builds
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics)
- 3-4 years of experience as Product Engineer or similar position
- Knowledge of automotive electrical system products, including electrical centers, harnesses assemblies, connection systems, terminal systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of materials, design principles, and manufacturing methods for plated stamped metal components, molded plastic components, printed circuit boards, etc.
- Ability to interpret the results of design analysis tools, such as DFMEA, mechanical and thermal FEA, Moldflow, tolerance stacks, etc.
- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills
- Assertive attitude
- Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Capable Microsoft Office user proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of Siemens NX
- Master's degree in Engineering (MSc)
- Product Design & Engineering experience with Electrical Center products
- Strong Siemens NX modeling & drafting experience
- Experience working in automotive on electrical/electronic/electromechanical products
