Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead the construction of our large-scale mining project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the project execution plan, including detailed design, civil and structural construction, quality control, mechanical completion, commissioning, and hand-over.
- Manage all related infrastructure and utilities packages, including procurement, scheduling, and coordination with contractors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory approvals and manage stakeholders related to the project.
- Lead the project team, including recruitment, training, and development of personnel.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager to finalize EPC contracts and manage project budgets and financial reporting systems.
- Develop and implement commissioning and operations training programs and operating manuals.
- Act as the main communication channel between the company and contractors, and as the bridge between upper management and the project teams.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Civil-Structural, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or similar).
- Post-graduate qualification in Financial and/or Project Management (PMP) or equivalent is preferable.
- + 15 years relevant work experience in design and construction of large mining projects or leading EPC projects.
- Working knowledge of Mexican environmental regulations.
- Advance computer skills, Microsoft Office.
- Theoretical and practical project management knowledge.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
