Job Summary:
AMT is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing CNC machines and accessories at customer sites, providing technical information on machine operation and repair, and working with our Senior Field Service associates to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and repair CNC machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and wiring.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems on machines and accessories.
- Test the operation of machines and accessories after installation or repair.
- Learn new machine features and accessories as they become available.
- Complete reports documenting hours, installations, assessments of reported problems, repairs completed, and parts installed.
- Provide technical information on machine operation and repair to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Travel to customer sites, including overnight or multiple-night stays, as required.
- Participate in events such as exhibitions, open days, and technology days to showcase AMT's products and services.
- Generate administrative reports, such as expense reports and utilization reports, according to the needs and policies of AMT.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
- 2-year technical training or associate degree in electronics, mechanical, or machine tool assembly.
- Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to work independently or in a group while completing necessary tasks.
- Capability to learn quickly and independently.
- Ability to problem-solve and research technical manuals and websites.
- English language level B1 or higher / 70 TOEFL.
- Willingness to travel constantly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in operation, maintenance, and installation of CNC machines (lathe, machining center).
- Familiarity with G-code programming.
- Experience with CAM software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in the metalworking industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- English language proficiency.
