Job Summary
Canonical, a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our OEM partnerships worldwide. As the Head of OEM Alliances, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) partners, fostering strategic relationships, and growing our market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IHV partners at all levels, including executive engagement and partnership development.
- Grow partner awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu, demonstrating a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms, leveraging your expertise in large and complex organizations.
- Lead partnerships with global accounts, including IBM, Samsung, DellEMC, HPE, Nokia, and others.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to deliver on targets and objectives.
- Provide a voice of the partner, ensuring that their needs are represented and addressed.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in leading OEM partnerships or similar roles.
- Deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem, with expertise in open source technologies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in large and complex organizations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales engineering, and product management.
