Job Summary:

An entry-level hardware systems development engineer will be responsible for learning and applying the team's best practices in areas such as computer OS images, BIOS, diagnostics, PC hardware, new product introduction, and software development.

The role involves collaborating with more experienced engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low-complexity projects.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Executes installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.">
  • Develops and maintains software components, modules, or applications using appropriate programming languages and technologies.">
  • Integrates software systems with existing infrastructure, databases, APIs, and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.">
  • Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.">
  • Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.">
  • Provides support services through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.">
  • Participates as a member of project teams of other software systems engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low-complexity projects.">

Education & Experience Recommended:

">

A graduate degree in computer science, information systems, or any other related discipline is recommended, along with commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Typically 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field, is preferred.
