Key Responsibilities- Operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures.
- Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts.
- Seek additional business from current customers, attempts to gain new business, and informs sales department of significant changes in customer use/competitor's actions.
- Answer customer questions on FedEx feature of service and keeps customers informed about the company and its services.
- Ensure that packages conform to FedEx features of service, that proper labeling is provided, and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate.
- Determine legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments, and separates packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures.
- Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrates proficiency in features of service and equipment.
- Ensure customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
- Meet aircraft and transports packages as required for sorting operations.
- Load and unload aircraft, containers, and company vehicles and operates mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
- Clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintains neat and clean personal appearance to uphold company's public image.
- High School diploma
- Basic English skills preferred
- One (1) year professional driving experience
- Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations
- Good driving record
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kgs) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment
- Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player
- Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test

- Must be able to work variable shifts
- Minimum experience of 18 months proven in delivery and/or managing units of 3 1⁄2 tons or more

- Driver's license for cargo, type of license: the appropriate one for the assigned vehicle according to the specific country regulations
- Customer service orientation with good organizational skills
- Availability to work variable shifts
- Positive driving history and knowledge of the City
- Ability to lift 32 Kg and to maneuver packages with a weight of up to 68 Kg with the appropriate equipment
