Procurement Manager

**Job Summary**
The Procurement Manager will oversee the daily activities of purchasing, including leading a team of Direct Materials & MRO buyers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining optimum materials & supplies inventories to ensure no disruptions in manufacturing while controlling working capital expenses.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage fabrics, materials, and vendor information within the Company ERP system.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Planning team to monitor and forecast levels of demand to determine inventory level needs and maintain satisfactory inventory levels for production.
- Supervise, train, and develop direct materials and MRO buyers.
- Establish and build relationships with vendors to maintain satisfactory deliveries and quality levels.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain sourcing team to identify and source new vendors and materials.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports relating to purchases, vendor performance, inventory, and cost analysis.
- Assist the Sourcing and Procurement Manager with quarterly vendor reviews.
- Assist Sourcing & Procurement Manager with customer relationships as it relates to the order status of material and price negotiations.
- Submit payments and invoices to the Accounting department and assist with resolving any discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Quality team to report, keep records, and follow up with suppliers until rejected materials are dispositioned and credits received.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline (Industrial Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
- A minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience; production and/or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with other members of the Supply Chain team.
- Ability to take initiative/goal-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in MRP/ERP systems, and MS applications, with a high proficiency in Excel (formulas, queries, v-lookups).
