Position Overview

As a Technical Engineering Leader, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and productive work environment. Your expertise will be essential in mentoring and guiding team members, particularly in the areas of design and mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Support: Promote and uphold a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Mentorship: Utilize your industry knowledge to mentor and develop engineers, ensuring high-quality interconnect designs.
  • Roadmap Development: Collaborate on the creation and execution of technology and product roadmaps.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes that enhance design quality and efficiency.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure effective deployment of company processes and identify opportunities for value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) improvements.
  • Design Creation: Generate detailed designs for connectors and contacts that meet performance and cost objectives.
  • Design Reviews: Lead cross-functional design reviews, focusing on requirements, manufacturability, and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Performance Management: Create and execute action plans to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial commitments.
  • Specification Translation: Convert customer specifications into actionable design, manufacturing, quality, and testing requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analyses using established methodologies to address issues effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prototype Development: Facilitate the creation and evaluation of both functional and non-functional prototypes.
  • Technical Support: Provide support to stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Sales Collaboration: Assist Sales and Marketing teams in preparing quotations and bid packages.
Qualifications
  • Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production, preferably in aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Fluency in advanced English is required.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering or a related field, with over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks modeling, drawing, and electro-mechanical simulation tools.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering-grade materials, including polymers, metals, composites, and alloys.
  • Experience in design for manufacturability across various manufacturing methods.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
