Job Opportunity

We are seeking highly qualified Lead Educators to join our team at Teach Away. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading our elementary or junior high students in their academic journey.

About the Role

The Lead Educator will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development. They will work closely with the school administration and other teachers to develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and share knowledge
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members
Requirements
  • 4 years Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • Alberta Teacher Certification or possibility to have it
  • Experience teaching in elementary or junior high levels
  • Proof of English proficiency with excellent pronunciation
  • Able to work within the culture of a Professional Learning Community
  • Affective characteristics (sociability, empathy, flexibility, etc.)
  • Adaptability and a commitment to professionalism
