About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our International Emerging Stores Payments team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our payments business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to our business.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and lean principles to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide expert guidance on risk management best practices, and develop training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, and adapt our risk management strategies accordingly.

Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management, preferably in a financial services or payments industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including Excel, Access, and SQL.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • English and Spanish proficiency, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements, and a strong understanding of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
