Key Responsibilities- Operate the Managed Service Platform: Collaborate with internal service teams to meet customer needs for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Drive Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers during critical events, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive root cause analysis.
- Collaborate and Build Utilities: Work with internal teams to build tools and utilities that enable safe and efficient operation at high scale.
- Mentor and Escalate: Act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers on the team and across Amazon.
- Provide Voice of the Customer: Leverage day-to-day experiences to provide valuable feedback to internal AWS teams.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or IT-related discipline and 4+ years of experience in systems administration, engineering, or technical IT/Cloud operations support. Strong networking experience, Linux and/or Windows operating system support, and effective communication skills are essential.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with service-oriented architecture, web services, and security protocols is highly desirable. Scripting and programming experience, as well as experience with IAM, Active Directory, and ADFS, are also preferred.
