About the Role:

Corning Inc. is a leading technology company that invents life-changing products using materials science. We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader II - Manufacturing Operations to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the operating plan to achieve team objectives and provide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Review team performance with team members at regular intervals and build effective relations with plant support groups.
  • Conduct hourly/direct labor employee performance reviews and provide coaching as needed, ensuring team members execute documented operating procedures and follow established document control protocols.
  • Implement and monitor training and certification plans, and hold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and setpoints for process control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant field.
  • Computer skills, including basic formulas in Excel and Word.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2-3 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience with industrial labor relations (union or union-free).
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization.
