TE Connectivity's Tooling Teams are responsible for manufacturing metal working dies and tool making. As a Tool and Die Maker IV, you will construct, modify, and condition metal working dies, fabricate new gages, cutting or forming tools and fixtures, and perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze blueprints, sketches, models, and engineering or shop specifications to complete assignments.
- Recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered.
- Solve problems relating to unusual materials, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization of the work area and follow TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with all conventional machines.
- Repairing of molds, maintenance of molds (preventive and corrective).
- Resolve mold problems on machines during production.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Creation of daily reports in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Solve dimensional issues of piece parts.
- Follow the 5S program procedure.
