Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AQP Engineer to join our team at Molex. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling the quality of our products from development to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to good housekeeping practices.
  • Develop and implement quality control documents, including CP and SIP, and train operators on product quality requirements.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues that occur during development to improve the quality performance of new products.
  • Verify that products and processes meet design requirements and complete qualification plans.
  • Review customer quality requirements and communicate with customers to obtain agreement.
  • Support internal and external audits and process customer approvals.
  • Plan and develop gauges for inspection, process capabilities, and MSA validation.
  • Develop and validate suppliers, including PPAP package reviewing.
  • Organize and plan safe launches, and implement, evaluate, and improve processes.
  • Understand and support current Molex quality and environmental systems by following stated policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to internal audits and quality management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or management field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in automotive manufacturing or quality-related field, or equivalent education and training.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and APQP.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to customers, suppliers, or other Molex locations.
  • Statistical and quality tools, including SPC, Gage R&R, and design of experiments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality management systems and related standards.
  • Quality system auditing.
