At Immigration Advocates Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research and Analysis Refugee Program to lead our team in conducting research, analysis, and advocacy efforts to promote the protection of refugees and reform U.S. asylum law and policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on refugee protection and asylum policies, including desk research, interviews, and fact-finding trips.
- Develop and implement research and analysis strategies to inform advocacy efforts and promote policy change.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and refugee communities.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff and partners on refugee protection and asylum policies.
- Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other advocacy materials.
- Represent Immigration Advocates Network at conferences, meetings, and other events.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as international human rights, law, or public policy.
- At least 9 years of experience in refugee protection, asylum law, and policy advocacy.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with refugee and immigrant populations, including in the U.S. and internationally.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor staff.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or other relevant languages is highly desirable.
