About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Software Engineering, iOS to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of our iOS applications and driving innovation in the mobile space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement iOS client code solutions that meet product strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices
  • Partner with software engineers, UX/UI designers, quality engineers, and product owners to deliver high-quality customer experiences
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to ensuring team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality
  • Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mobile development
  • Mentor junior to mid-level team members and contribute to group discussions
  • Engage with developers across various disciplines and own the delivery of major components and platform needs
  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams
  • Identify technical obstacles and work with the team to find creative solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years of people management experience
  • At least 4 years of experience building iOS applications and 3 years of experience with Swift
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of people management experience and 7+ years of experience building iOS applications
  • 4+ years of experience with Swift and 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience with agile practices
