Memory Verification Engineer for Advanced DRAM Products

A Design Verification Engineer at Micron will work with highly innovative and motivated design and verification teams using state-of-the-art memory technologies to develop the most advanced DRAM and emerging memory products. Key Responsibilities include designing and verifying high-density memory chips with complicated functionality, ultra-high speed, advanced low power, and power management technology. The role involves working closely with Micron's global design teams to contribute to the success of the design team by applying verification tools and techniques, providing verification status and summaries to specific designs as needed. Additionally, developing digital/analog mixed-signal verification methodology for advanced DRAM products and designing and implementing a mixed-signal design verification environment are key responsibilities of this role. Other duties include fully understanding the design datasheet, studying and learning circuit design in detail, understanding the functionality and timing requirements of the circuitry, developing patterns and regressions to increase function coverage for all DRAM architectures and features, providing support to design engineers, debugging failures, managing bug tracking, and closing coverage. Furthermore, the Design Verification Engineer will co-work with international colleagues on developing new verification tools and flows to solve verification difficulties, and develop and maintain test benches and test vectors using digital and analog simulation tools.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with emphasis on VLSI design and/or Verification
- Fluent understanding in CMOS circuit design
- Familiarity with analog simulation methodology and tools, i.e., HSPICE, PRIMESIM
- BASIC understanding of digital simulators, such as Verilog and UVM Methodology (or equivalent)
- Good programming fundamentals with knowledge of Python programming is preferred
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Work experience in DRAM memory-related fields is a plus
