  • Data Retention and Purging: Define data retention policies and schedules to manage the lifecycle of data within SAP systems, including data aging, purging, and deletion.
  • Data Partitioning and Distribution: Design and implement data partitioning strategies to distribute data across multiple storage devices or servers, based on business requirements.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization: Monitor and analyze data volume trends, system performance metrics, and storage utilization to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with SAP Basis, ABAP development, and functional teams to ensure data volume management solutions align with business requirements and technical standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in SAP analysis, configuration, and deployment.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP data archiving tools and techniques, such as SAP Data Archiving, SAP Information Lifecycle Management (SILM), and SAP Data Volume Management (DVM). Strong understanding of SAP database technologies (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP ASE, SAP MaxDB) and storage solutions. Proficiency in SQL scripting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
