Job Summary

Merek Rh is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Cash Application Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our cash application process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up with accounts receivable agents to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing
  • Record and verify bank deposits from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of remittance information
  • Retrieve and analyze remittance information from customers' websites to identify potential issues
  • Validate payment amounts and details against invoice data in our system
  • Identify and resolve client discrepancies and short payments in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Credit and Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure seamless communication and resolution of payment-related issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in financial transaction processing
  • Post-secondary diploma or college degree in a related field, such as finance or accounting
  • Experience in the transportation industry is considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
