Job Summary:
Tenneco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team. As an EHS Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining site ISO certifications, ensuring accurate and complete EHS reporting, and managing interfaces with regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct site in achieving EHS targets and objectives.
- Direct development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and division EHS strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
- Determine appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors.
- Drive and promote a zero-incident EHS culture throughout the site.
- Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees.
- Work with leadership team and EHS element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Pursue third-party recognition for programs that establish the site and Tenneco's EHS program as world-class.
- Use established EHS data processes to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items, and other pertinent information.
- Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
- Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
- Support Workers Compensation investigations in coordination with site HR.
Additional Responsibilities:
- PPI - The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and driving environmental metrics, including the nature and location of the data collected on a monthly basis and reported to the corporate group in accordance with appropriate processes.
- RTO - The EHS Coordinator will ensure that permits required by regulatory agencies are obtained prior to production, review proposed and pending legislation that may affect the plant, and update the Right to Operate quarterly and communicate it to the corporate group.
- PTO - The EHS Coordinator will ensure permit compliance, develop a complete inventory of all emissions, and ensure permit compliance is discussed with plant management on a quarterly basis.
- Emergency - The EHS Coordinator will track and drive environmental metrics, develop and implement a structured method for applicability of individual Emergency Scenarios around the site's emergency conditions, and discuss emergency planning and drills with plant management on a quarterly basis.
