About the Role

PayJoy is a pioneering fintech company dedicated to empowering a billion people worldwide to access the modern financial system. As a Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in scaling our point-of-sale phone finance lending portfolio in Mexico, LATAM, and other global markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize PayJoy's data warehouse to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to inform risk management decisions.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize risk outcomes across LATAM countries, ensuring alignment with PayJoy's mission and goals.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Exec Team, Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market, to drive data-driven decision-making and risk management.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Brazil Portfolio and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to enhance risk management processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in risk management functions in fintech or commercial banking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
  • Understanding of statistical tools and methods, with experience working with large data sets.
