Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide direct engineering support to our manufacturing production lines. The successful candidate will ensure that manufacturing processes comply with specifications and products meet material qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects.
  • Determine methods and techniques to be used or adapt standard methods to meet variations.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and ensure established metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap, and Cycle Time) are met.
  • Utilize Process Excellence methodology and analytical problem-solving tools to identify and implement improvement projects geared to reduce cost, eliminate scrap, improve quality, and minimize cycle time.
  • Establish specific manufacturing capability technology to support transfers and new product introduction.
  • Identify and develop corrective action plans to improve instrument reliability in the field.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide and implement robust corrective actions to quality, safety, and ergonomic risks detected in the manufacturing area.

Requirements

  • Industrial Engineer Degree or similar.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Sewing Processes.
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Brother & Juky Sewing machines, 6's, Kaizen System, and product and process design and development.
  • Knowledge of project management and cost analysis, word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data management, project management, presentation graphics, engineering analysis, and statistical software.
  • Knowledge of BOM's, JD Edwards, E1, AutoCAD, Draftsigth, SolidWorks.
  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or medical device industry preferred.
  • Advance technical training in area(s) of expertise preferred.
