Key Responsibilities:

  • Package Handling: Provide efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring proper labeling, legality of content, and compliance with company policies.
  • Package Screening: Check packages to ensure they meet company requirements, including weight, size, and special handling instructions.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, such as airway bills, delivery records, and vehicle condition reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Seek additional business from current customers and inform Station Ops. Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
  • Vehicle Operations: Load and unload company aircraft and vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Warehouse Operations: Audit size and weight of packages and boxes, and sort them accordingly.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, washing, and tire pressure checks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Skills: Basic English skills, accuracy and attention to detail, planning and organizing skills, problem-solving skills, and team working skills.
