**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Respond to and resolve client repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and inspecting tools and machinery.
  • Transport equipment and tools as needed.
  • Identify and activate emergency shutdown valves and service shut-off valves.
  • Maintain required inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other teams using approved standards and communication programs.
  • Develop basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: HVAC and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic systems, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, minor repairs to drywall and trim, replacing light bulbs and air conditioner filters, and thorough cleaning of painting or repair areas.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclog toilets and drains), electrical components, including lamps, cosmetics, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet equipment, replace switches and outlets, and other client room items.
  • Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
  • Use the locking system before performing maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs to interior and exterior landscaping and exterior irrigation systems.
  • Have basic computer skills, including entering air treatment equipment schedules and making temperature changes.

**Safety and Security**

Follow all company policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, hazardous working conditions, accidents, and injuries; complete safety and security training and certifications; and store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.

**Customer Service**

Ensure a clean and complete uniform; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times; respect confidentiality in sharing information specific to the brand and/or hotel; and protect company property.

**Teamwork**

Develop positive and constructive working relationships with colleagues; work together to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to colleagues' problems; use clear and courteous language in all communication.

**Physical Demands**

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more with assistance.

Ascend and descend stairs, service ramps, and ladders.

Reach above head and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Enter and find information related to work using computers.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
