About the Role

The Google Cloud team is seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to help companies, schools, and government organizations seamlessly transition to Google products and provide ongoing support. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will work closely with customers to design and implement large-scale data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Big Data issues.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the implementation of large data systems on Google Cloud.
  • Communicate effectively via video conferencing for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
  • Experience working with Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
  • Experience in technical consulting.
