Job Title: Security Consulting Engineer

Cisco Systems is seeking a highly skilled Security Consulting Engineer to join our team. As a Security Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that lead to problem resolution or mitigation with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review customer data in the form of network topologies, and crash, log, or other device files to seek out anomalies.
  • Deliver solutions that lead to problem resolution or mitigation with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Listen, accept, and follow direction from more senior engineers.
  • Effectively engage resources outside your team to further the troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/CE/EE preferred) and 4+ years of experience in network support.
  • 2+ years' experience and a real passion for supporting network security products.
  • Experience at solving advanced networking issues and a superb grasp of fundamental networking theory.
  • Linux Administration/FreeBSD.
  • Advanced Wireshark analysis.
  • Web Proxy support experience.
  • Ability to solve complex scenarios on Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA) and Cisco Defense Orchestrator (CDO).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including networking concepts, security groups, and virtual private clouds.
  • Understanding in configuring and managing various firewall solutions in multi-cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and security principles, with the ability to diagnose and solve complex network issues.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-centric attitude with a passion for solving problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or equivalent, would be a strong advantage.
Desired Skills:
  • Python Programming or other scripting experience.
  • CCNA Security or CCNP Security.
  • Strong foundations and hand-on experience configuring and solve Cisco Security products.
  • AWS, Azure,GCP certification
