Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of products through the production cycle. This includes providing timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop, and execute recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs.
  • Schedule demand based on product mix and provide accurate lead times to the sales department.
  • Release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle.
  • Modify and adapt production schedules and issue order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities.
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting.
  • Integrate sales orders with the master schedule and coordinate availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintain capacity information in ERP/MRP for finished goods items.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with the Production Planning Supervisor to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies.
  • Lead the department's S&OP activities, monitor overall operational supply, and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional and multi-level discussions impacting operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing planning.
  • Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM certification.
  • Knowledge and experience with Sales & Operations Planning.
  • Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems (AS400, SAP).
  • English proficiency.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with the ability to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams.
  • Bias for action, decisive, and able to make timely practical decisions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage systems and processes to measure, monitor, manage, and impact performance.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment with occasional time spent on the manufacturing plant floor.
