About the Role

This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for leading a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations, with a proven track record of driving daily schedule attainment, reducing cycle times, and improving quality, service, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Daily Schedule Attainment: Meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost, implement a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality, service, and safety.
  2. Develop and Execute Daily Production Plans: Coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans to ensure efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies.
  3. Drive and Execute HSE Policy: Lead daily Gemba walks, keep Supervisor scorecard program greater than 9, and ability to search HSE findings, lead meetings for near misses and first aids of our operators.
  4. Improve Process Efficiency: Use lean toolkit to improve process efficiency, provide input to Engineering on new product development ensuring products will be serviceable, and report product defects ensuring these are resolved.
  5. Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with Product Development and other departments to ensure service requirements are complied.
Requirements
  • BS Engineering University Degree or significant experience.
  • 2-5 years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations.
  • Conversational English.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to work under stress and time deadline situations.
  • Decision-making ability.
  • Time management skills.
