We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Buscojobs México. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling of shipments and notify concerned departments of arrival dates.
- Negotiate pricing with domestic and foreign shippers and custom brokers.
- Plan and coordinate the importing, exporting, and follow-through of materials and finished products in transit to comply with company requirements.
- Supervise the expediting of imports and exports and maintain information on tariffs, licenses, and restrictions by U.S. Mexican and other countries' customs authorities.
- Develop and implement maquila programs and submit required reports to government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with shipping systems and customs regulations from the U.S., Mexico, and other countries.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in logistics or customs departments.
- Knowledge of international commerce laws, Incoterms, and transportation modes.
- Experience working with customs brokers, carriers (local and international), and forwarders.
- Knowledge of logistics routes, parcels, heavy weight, ocean, and ground transportation.
- Analysis capacity to identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency of labor.
- Knowledge of the maquila program, CTPAT, OEA, and ISO.
- Knowledge of shipment modes LCL, FCL, LTL, FTL.
- Cost reduction and savings expertise.
- English proficiency (95% or higher).
