About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at IPF Digital. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of our business in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information and submit relevant reports in a timely manner in the following areas: accounting, controlling, reporting, purchasing, invoice management, taxes, payments, and related analysis for the market.
  • Financial Control
    • Take accountability for the purchase invoice process, from approval to payment and finally to record keeping and filing.
    • Control and record monthly expenses based on the expense verification template, paid with petty cash and corporate credit card.
    • Support on corporate credit card issues and monitoring the reception of monthly statements.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that the business complies with relevant local regulatory requirements and IPF Digital standards for accounting, reporting, tax, and financial control.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare income statement and balance sheet on a monthly basis in Navision accounting software.
    • Take responsibility for the regular reporting of financial performance in accordance with accounting policies and timetables in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Tax Compliance
    • Responsible for ensuring that tax compliance of the Mexican business is managed effectively, working under guidance from Controller and Tax advisors.
  • Financial Planning
    • Support in the preparation of Company Annual Accounts and Tax Returns for Mexico.
    • Support in the elaboration and integration of local Budget and Rolling Forecast.
  • Financial Projects
    • Work on specific finance projects as required and directed, providing business financial planning and analysis support.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Fluent in verbal and written business English (essential).
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Solid communicator.
    • Good problem solver.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Results-oriented.
    • Highly organized, methodical, and meticulous.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Proactive.
    • Financial control and reporting (IFRS).
    • Knowledge of maintaining all aspects of financial reporting and control discipline.
    • Working knowledge of accounting systems (Navision desired).
    • Working knowledge of tax requirements in Mexico.
    • Banking knowledge (desired).
    • Financial Services experience is ideal but not essential.
    • Experience in SOFOM would be an advantage.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Cost accounting, invoice handling, and payment issuing.
    • Monitor monthly results and cost control according to Budget.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and business systems.
