Controller Job Description

Tongo is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead our financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Work closely with the CFO to provide guidance and support to team members
  • Maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, month-end closes, and consolidated financial statements
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to the CFO
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  • Manage and prepare consolidated multi-entity financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with business objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in financial software, including Excel, financial planning and analysis tools, and accounting software
