About the Role

As a Claims Expert - Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective management and adjustment of claims from first advice to settlement of a portfolio of Mexican Insurance Claims. You will participate in Wholesale business and negotiate and defend where necessary our position. You will liaise with internal and external service providers and specialists, manage key internal and external stakeholders and customer relationships with an emphasis on key clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Claims Operations Team to ensure proper claims administration and data quality throughout portfolios.
  • Demonstrate our claim's expertise and service excellence at industry and market events.
  • Review and support development of wordings, and tailored solutions for clients in cooperation with contract services.
  • Plan and attend claims audits.
  • Ensure compliance with claims guidelines, controls and reporting, including adherence to our guidelines and Mexican regulation.
  • Contribute to claims team in the region and global.
  • Claims reporting and represent us against local authority.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with 5 years + experience in the Mexican market claims environment. You should have knowledge of the Mexican Insurance Market and be responsible for negotiating claims. You should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and possess analytical, negotiation and influencing skills. You should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English and Spanish, and be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • 5 years + experience in the Mexican market claims environment.
  • Knowledge of the Mexican Insurance Market.
  • Responsible for negotiating claims.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Analytical, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under time pressure with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in IT (MS Office) and Operational areas.
  • Ability to identify and address potential conflict situations / scenarios.
  • Flexibility to travel up as necessary to manage claims in responsibility within the region and develop broker/client relationships as appropriate.
  • Technical capabilities including an understanding of the financial impact of claims decisions (e.g. on reserves and cash flow).
  • Provide actionable Claims' insights to internal stakeholders, including studies, reviews and analysis relating to claims, emerging risks, legal, regulatory and societal developments and other industry topics.
