Job Overview

The Missionary Middle School Social Studies Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students, fostering positive relationships with parents and the community, and serving as an ambassador for Global Education Ministries. As a missionary, this individual will have the opportunity to plant seeds of the gospel in the hearts of their students.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and maintain a positive learning environment within the classroom, supporting each student academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
  2. Plan, prepare, and teach Social Studies classes using best practices.
  3. Assist the school administration in accomplishing academic and spiritual goals.
  4. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.
  5. As a missionary, participate in recruiting, fundraising, creating policy, and representing GEM.
Requirements
  • A genuine faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Degree in Secondary Education and Social Studies/History, or related field.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
  • An outgoing and adventurous personality.
  • Flexibility of schedule.
  • Willingness to relocate to Mexico for a 2-year contract.
  • Ability to fundraise for the ministry.
Compensation

This missions position offers a competitive salary package, including a starting gross salary of $13,200 annually (USD). Additionally, the team provides fundraising training before beginning the fundraising process, which requires securing a minimum of $18,000 per year.
