Housekeeping Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort. As a key member of our Housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our public areas and guest rooms.

• Clean and maintain public and employee restrooms and showers, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper functioning of fixtures and equipment.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of glass surfaces in public and employee areas, including windows, mirrors, and other glass fixtures.
• Utilize designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment to clean floor surfaces in public or employee space, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
• Dust surfaces in assigned areas, including furniture, fixtures, and other decorative elements.
• Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers, maintaining a clean and odor-free environment.
• Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains, reporting any damages to management.
• Clean and maintain lights, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
• Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary, ensuring guest and staff safety.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs, prioritizing prompt resolution of issues.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments, providing exceptional customer service.
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing disruptions.

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to move up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience.
• No supervisory experience.
• No license or certification required.
