**Job Summary**:

As a Production Group Leader at General Motors, you will be responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment to drive production efficiency and quality. You will participate in the training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members, and lead global manufacturing systems processes to support launch and pilot activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

• Participate in the development of highly effective teams and lead global manufacturing systems processes

• Meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements

• Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate department quality goals

• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and management

• Understand and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union

• Implement and follow systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues

• Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health, and safety, and housekeeping

• Motivate, train, and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods

• Ensure manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements

• Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities

**Requirements**:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer, or related field

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar position

• Available to change shifts (4x3, 5x2, 6x1)

• English Level: Basic

• Key Skills: Experience working with material control, material handling, people management

• WMS
