About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of developers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Project Management: Lead a portfolio of projects, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with digital product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our engineering practices.
Requirements
  • Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 8 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • At least 4 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 9 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Go or Scala
  • At least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • At least 4 years of experience in open source frameworks
  • At least 7 years of people management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Agile practices
