We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Senior Manager to join our operations team at Equinix, Inc. As a key member of our digital infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning and execution of commissioning activities across our global data center network.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different countries and time zones, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and schedules that meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with construction managers, business operations teams, and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Commissioning Expertise
- Provide guidance and support to commissioning consultants on project-specific activities, ensuring compliance with scope and contract.
- Develop and implement Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Acceptance Test Procedures for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct site visits to ensure commissioning activities are completed in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Customer-Facing Reports
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to key customers, highlighting achievements against commissioning plans and Ready for Service (RFS) dates.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations throughout the commissioning process.
- Process Management
- Develop and maintain standardized commissioning processes and procedures, ensuring consistency across global regions.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Provide input into data analytics and metrics reporting to support business decision-making.
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring timely delivery of commissioning services and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement vendor performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews to ensure vendor accountability.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center commissioning, with a strong background in project management and commissioning expertise.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Language
- Advanced fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
