Job Title: Flow Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Flow Controller to join our team at Schneider Electric Gruppe. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the Distribution Requirement Planning process to optimize inventory levels and meet service level objectives.
  • Define and update stock parameters to achieve optimal inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Manage the purchase order portfolio, analyze stock discrepancies, and perform adjustments as needed.

Main Activities:

  • Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders through ERP batch jobs to automate the process.
  • Action on MRP exceptions and work with suppliers to advise or expedite deliveries.
  • Manage customer requests and workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Record purchase orders, advance shipping notifications, and manage invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock availability by analyzing and taking corrective actions to control upstream and downstream backorder lines, pre-shortage, shortage, stock coverage, and stock health.
  • Define default transportation modes using the Air/Sea Tool and navigate the workflow for transportation mode changes.
  • Collaborate with downstream and upstream planning leaders, supply and inventory planners, and transportation/logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in SIM2 and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Mathematical optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Operations Engineering.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive approach to seeking information, training, and resources for professional development.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and make decisions for primary and strategic execution.
  • Experience with SAP (Purchasing, Production Planning) is a must.
