In this position, you will be part of our IBM Consulting team, working in one of our Client Innovation Centers. Our centers deliver technical and industry expertise to clients worldwide, offering locally based skills and expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You will identify insights and tasks that can be automated, and propose new ways to improve technical processes through automation. You will work with clients to resolve their pain points and co-create solutions to improve the efficiency of their operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Design and Analysis of Distributed Systems: Design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
- Proactive Reliability Management and Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotation, engage with product teams to fix production outages, and carry forward action items to improve ongoing reliability.
- Empowering Tools and Automation for Enhanced Reliability: Develop effective tooling, alerts, and response to both identify and address reliability risks, including automatic problem detection and mitigation.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hands-on experience working with Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
- Experience defining and implementing monitoring and reporting for application performance.
- Experience developing automation and tooling to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficient English language skills.
