About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at IBM. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and validating existing failures to propose improvements, with the support of the architect and technical leader.
  • Participating in every step of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, release changes, and troubleshooting.
  • Driving key discussions with stakeholders and analyzing the current landscape for opportunities to operate and code creative solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Proficiency in diagramming applications such as Visio.
  • Experience in creating network engineering topology drawings.
  • Ability to take application owner information and document it visually in a drawing.
  • Proficient network engineering experience to perform tasks such as tracing traffic, understanding IP addressing, and understanding network hops to follow and diagram traffic flows.
  • Good understanding of application hosting.
  • Experience with VMware products.
  • Understanding of firewalls.
  • Basic Windows administration knowledge.
  • Basic Linux administration knowledge.
  • Understanding of how to use SharePoint.
  • English fluency.
