Job Title: HR Director

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead our human resources team at Prodensa. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in employee relations, labor law, compensation, and benefits. You will also need to have experience in union negotiations and managing relationships with unions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Identify and monitor legal requirements related to HR functions, including federal and state laws, and ensure that all necessary reports and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Advise and counsel department managers on HR matters such as company policies, employee relations, compensation, and conflict resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and execute staffing strategies based on business needs and forecasts.
  • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices using internal and external data analysis.
  • Design and implement training programs, including leadership development, compliance training, and employee skills enhancement.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage HR contracts, benefits administration, and labor relations, including union negotiations and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity laws, affirmative action plans, and promote a workplace free of discrimination.
  • Lead the HR team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in human resources, with a strong background in employee relations, labor law, compensation, and benefits.
  • Previous experience in union negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican Labor Law, IMSS, ISR Law, STPS, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in organizational development, labor relations, and HR management practices, screening, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both Spanish and English.
