Machine Build Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Build Engineer to join our team at Autoliv Mexico. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch of new or retrofit equipment projects, providing quotes for new programs, and overseeing the installation and operation of equipment at our supplier and assembly plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and provide input on design specifications
- Manage relationships with local equipment suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to ensure smooth operation of equipment and processes
- Conduct capacity analysis and develop strategies to improve production efficiency
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure zero defects and first-time quality delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Experience with quality control and assurance processes
- APQP basic knowledge and introduction of new products
- Interpretation of electrical and pneumatic diagrams
- Knowledge of equipment pricing and management of PDM/PLM software
