The Role: Senior Project Manager

This key position plays a critical role in defining project objectives and scope, ensuring successful implementation from initiation to go-live. The Senior Project Manager drives the entire implementation process, guaranteeing that project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Working closely with the Delivery Manager, this individual ensures the project is properly staffed to meet project requirements. The ideal candidate will reside near a major airport and be available for travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily project activities in accordance with approved scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Apply expert knowledge to maintain accountability for client-facing documentation, including functional, technical, and end-user materials.
  • Establish positive, professional relationships with client staff, showcasing a professional demeanor, conduct, and appearance.
  • Define project scope and deliverables, creating a baseline project schedule and budget based on Anthology's implementation methodology.
  • Execute a project communication strategy, including regular project and executive status reporting.
  • Develop contingency/recovery plans to address potential issues and determine economic impact.
  • Negotiate with customers to set and manage expectations, resolving complex issues and conflicting customer requests.
  • Define project team roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide direction to resolve complex problems, collaborating with others as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance) or 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience implementing complex software packages and/or ERP implementations, preferably in higher education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced skills in managing projects to completion within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to meet goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client project meetings.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certification.
  • Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Operations and Project for the Web.
