Key Responsibilities- Package Movement and Documentation: Responsible for the movement of packages and documentation within FedEx facilities and/or customs/forwarders.
- Customs Documentation: Maintains customs documentation well organized and properly filed.
- Customs Releases: Receives customs releases and maintains adequate control as specified by customs regulations.
- Sorting and Baggage Support: Performs sorting, baggage support at airport and station, and retrieves air freight from carriers as required.
- Quality Control: Pulls copy of AWBS of overages to ensure adjustments.
- Education: High School degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Two (2) years of previous experience in international freight/cargo customs policies, procedures, rules, and laws preferred.
- Skills: Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32 kgs) and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kgs) with appropriate equipment. Verifiable ability to capture data in different systems such as Office - Advanced Excel - and WMS / JDA / eGLS (25/35 WPM), data entry and / or general office skills.
