Key Responsibilities- Payment Processing: Coordinate and process daily payments, including accounts payable and employee expenses, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
- Payment Authorization: Ensure all payments have been distributed to authorized personnel and submitted before relevant cut-off times.
- Payment Monitoring: Monitor bank accounts for rejected payments and account balances, acting as a point of contact between the bank and the business.
- Bank Signatory Management: Ensure bank signatories are updated in a timely manner and maintain bank mandate files.
- Cash Flow Management: Assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts and liaise with treasury counterparts to ensure efficient and effective management of cash and liquidity.
- Payment Problem Resolution: Work with other functions to resolve payment-related queries or problems promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the review and development of payment processes, procedures, and systems.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality over employee data and proprietary company information, ensuring full compliance with data protection regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end, quarterly, and annual closings, including booking and banking reconciliations.
- Internal and External Audits: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- 1+ year of experience as an Accountant or similar role, with a degree in business administration or professional experience focusing on finance/accounting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships with remote business partners.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, including database design and implementation, formula development, and utilization of Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
